The latest iOS 14 beta introduces a small, but noticeable change to the way the Photos app operates. Apple has offered the ability to hide photos and videos in the Photos app for quite some time, but with an easy-access Hidden folder baked into the Albums tab, it defeats the purpose of hiding content in the first place.
However, those that have updated to iOS 14 beta 5 will notice that the Hidden Photos folder has disappeared. Has Apple deleted it? Where have my hidden photos gone? Don’t panic – your hidden photos are safe and sound, you just need to re-enable the Hidden Folder in the Settings app on your iPhone.
How to find the Hidden folder in iOS 14
Thankfully, it’s easy to regain access to the Hidden folder in iOS 14. Just follow these steps:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Photos.
- Tap the Hidden Album toggle to turn it on.
Once enabled, you should be able to access the Hidden folder in the Photos app. For those unaware, it’s at the bottom of the Albums tab, in the Other Albums section, alongside Imports and Recently Deleted.
