After years of franchise development and many new films, the universe of space robots has returned to its roots. The animated Transformers One takes viewers to the planet Cybertron, where the race of extraordinary beings comes from, and tells the origin story of two later enemies, Optimus Prime and Megatron.
Although Transformers One isn’t exactly the box office smash as the previous franchise instalments, it has certainly attracted the attention of loyal fans. The cinema is undoubtedly the best place to enjoy this colourful animation, which includes a stellar voice cast such as Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Brian Tyree Henry, Jon Hamm, Laurence Fishburne and Steve Buscemi. When will Transformers One be released on VOD?
The new movie from the Transformers franchise is now available on digital in the US. You can rent it or buy it on Amazon Prime Video and iTunes. Transformers One hit VOD in the States on 22 October 2024.
In the UK, the animation will become available to buy digitally on Tuesday, 10 December 2024. Rental will be possible from Tuesday, 24 December 2024. For now, the movie is available for pre-order on Amazon UK.
The digital edition of the film includes over 45 minutes of bonus material, however availability of the additional content varies by digital retailer.

When could Transformers One be released on streaming services?
The film is streaming now on Paramount+ in the US.
For now, it’s unknown when the animation will arrive on UK streaming services.
When could Transformers One be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
In the UK, the film will drop on DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray SteelBook and 4K Ultra HD on Tuesday, 10 December 2024 (the same day as the VOD premiere).
In the US, the film will appear in mentioned editions on Tuesday, 17 December 2024.
Viewers who purchase the physical copies of Transformers One will also get access to the bonus features.
