Samsung released a lot of new products each and every year, but its biggest consumer-focused launches tend to get a dedicated event.
We’ve already had one for the Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra in 2024, and another one is on the way soon.
Here’s everything we know about the next Galaxy Unpacked event and what is expected to be announced there.
When does Samsung usually hold events?
Samsung is known for its grand unveilings of new products, often through high-profile Galaxy Unpacked events.
These typically occur a couple times a year, with high-end smartphones, tablets and smartwatches usually on the agenda.
Historically, Samsung has followed a regular schedule, with Unpacked events taking place at two key moments in the year.
- January/February: typically, the Galaxy S smartphones and Galaxy Tab S tablets
- July/August: typically, the Galaxy Z foldables and Galaxy Watch smartwatches
However, the Galaxy Tab S9 series was unveiled at last year’s summer event, rather than at the beginning of the year like the Tab S8 series in 2023, so this is not a fixed pattern.
When will the next Samsung event take place?
In an official blog post, Samsung has confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on 10 July 2024.

What will Samsung announce at its next event?
Samsung has now confirmed the next Galaxy Unpacked event, teasing the announcements of “the latest Galaxy Z series and the entire Galaxy ecosystem”.
Based on this, an accidental leak and lots of rumours, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect.
Galaxy Z Fold 6
All signs point to Samsung shaking up the foldable phones market with new Galaxy Z series phones.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to come in two versions for the first time, with a regular model being joined by a brand-new Ultra version.

Rumours suggest there could be a new, thinner design and potential improvements to the cover display, but it’s not clear how the regular and Ultra models will differ.
Galaxy Z Flip 6
On the other hand, we don’t expect the Galaxy Z Flip 6 to bring any major changes from its predecessor.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 introduced several design changes, particularly with the new hinge mechanism and larger cover screen, so Samsung is expected to only make small tweaks this time around.
Galaxy Watch 7
In addition to the foldable phones, new models of Samsung smartwatch are likely to launch.
And this time, rumours suggest there may be three Galaxy Watch 7 models: regular, Pro and Ultra. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic probably won’t be the last Classic model though, with Samsung seemingly taking it year about between it and Pro.

The most interesting rumour so far is that Samsung could return to a squared screen on one or more models, but that might not materialise. We could also get the ability to monitor blood sugar levels.
Galaxy Ring
Furthermore, we expect the launch of a new product in Samsung’s lineup – the Galaxy Ring.

Despite already being confirmed to exist, details are scarce, but the smart ring is rumoured to available in nine sizes and three colours. Sensors such as heart rate, blood oxygen and even blood sugar monitoring could all be included.
Galaxy Buds 3
Samsung is widely expected to launch at least one new pair of wireless earbuds.
If an accidental leak in the Samsung Members app is anything to go by, we’ll be getting both the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro. However, it’s not clear what upgrades the new models will bring to the table.
Galaxy Tab S10
Samsung launched its Tab S9 range in early 2023, so an update is well overdue. However, given everything else that’s expected at the July event, we might be waiting a bit longer for them.

Whenever they do arrive, look out for three Galaxy Tab S10 models once again – regular, Plus and Ultra – matching Galaxy S smartphones. However, aside from new processors, it’s not clear what they’ll bring to the table at this stage.
