I’ve been biding my time to buy a new TV and the deal I’ve been waiting for has finally arrived this Black Friday.
First, I have to confess, this isn’t the model I’d ideally like. I need to replace my broken Samsung The Frame which lives in the bedroom (an unfortunate accident damaged the panel which sadly isn’t viable to be repaired).
Deals on the The Frame used to be a regular favourite in sales events like Black Friday and Prime Day but they are increasingly hard to come by, especially on the 32-inch size I need.
Fortunately, Amazon has a perfect alternative which is only a little over £100 for Black Friday Week.
The TCL 32SF540K has a big saving of 29% making it only £127.70 (the lowest price ever). A bargain for a decent TV brand with better specs than Amazon’s own Fire TV 32-inch 2-Series.
That model is £169 (32% off) but has a basic HD 720p resolution whereas TCL’s is Full HD 1080p which is the bare minimum for me.

TCL
It also has a more attractive design with a tiny bezel on three sides, runs Amazon’s Fire OS software and other features which will be useful. The size makes it perfect for bedrooms, kitchens, playrooms and more.
Sure, it’s not QLED (Quantum Dot LED) like my broken Samsung but that was about three times the price even in a Black Friday deal when I bought it many years ago.
At £127 I can’t really expect any more. I don’t need one but Currys has two offers on soundbars with the same model and only a slightly higher price of £129.
Don’t forget you can spend any Nectar points you might have on the TV at Argos (also £129), bringing the price down further.
If you need something bigger then the 40-inch model is also on sale for just £169 (also 29% off). And, there’s also a Roku OS powered 2024 version in the RS550K for £129 at Argos if that takes your fancy.
