What specs and features does the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 have?
Design
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 maintains a nearly identical design to the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
The most visible changes in appearance, however, can be seen in a bold camera design, coresponding to four new colour options: Blue, Yellow, Silver Shadow and Mint.

The phone measures 71.9 x 85.1 x 14.9mm when folded and 71.9 x 165.1 x 6.9mm when unfolded, weights 187g and has an IP48 rating against dust and water.
It is also highly customisable, offering interactive wallpapers that respond to touch and movement, as well as generative wallpaper feature and wallpaper suggestions to suit your style.
Displays
The main screen is a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display (2640 x 1080) and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The cover screen is a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED display (720 x 748). Both screens are identical to the Z Flip 5, and protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Performance
Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, an overclocked version of Qualcomm’s flagship chipset that’s specifically optimised for Samsung devices.
It’s paired with 12GB of RAM, plus 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of internal storage.

It also features the first vapor chamber in the Galaxy Z Flip series, which should offer both powerful performance and efficient cooling.
Cameras
The Z Flip 6 comes equipped with a high-resolution camera system, including a 50Mp main camera – that’s the same one you’ll find in the Galaxy S24+.
It’s joined by a 12Mp ultrawide lens, though there’s still no telephoto. On the inside, there’s a 10Mp selfie camera at the top of the display.

The camera setup is enhanced with AI-powered portraits, auto zoom capabilities and supposedly better performance in third-party apps like Instagram. It also features FlexCam, which can auto-detect subjects and optimise the frame for the best possible shot, all without the need for manual adjustments.
Battery & charging
The device boasts a 4000mAh battery, the largest ever in a Galaxy Z Flip series, which supports 25W wired charging speed and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0. Samsung claims the phone can charge up to 50% in around 30 minutes.

For reference, although the Z Flip 5 delivered all-day battery life, charging was where it really lagged behind, with maximum speeds of just 25W (and no charger in the box), it only reached 40% charge in 30 minutes.
You also still get the Z Flip 5’s 15W wireless and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
Software
The Z Flip 6 runs Samsung’s One UI 6 software, which is based on Android 14.
All the Z Flip 5’s unique features are still here, plus a few new ones. These include suggested replies on the cover screen, which analyses the last 10 messages to provide context-aware suggestions, plus the Flexmode two-way translation. You also get various widgets for enhancing productivity and functionality without needing to open the device.
What’s more, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will get seven years of updates, aligning with the Galaxy S24 series and becoming the gold standard with regards to foldables.
