Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S series is arguably the main rival to Apple’s iPad in the world of flagship tablets.
As part of the company’s efforts to make the absolute best Android tablets you can buy, Samsung has launched a new generation.
As you might expect, they’re known collectively as the Galaxy Tab S10 series. But there are a few noteworthy changes, including one fewer model than usual.

What features will the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 have?
There have been quite a few rumours about the Galaxy Tab S10 series over the last few months, with the biggest being the lack of a regular Tab S10.
As it turned out today, Samsung has indeed decided to launch only the Plus and Ultra models. Below, you’ll find everything Samsung has unveiled about them.
Design & Build
Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is a sleek and sturdy device with dimensions of 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.4mm and weighs 718g for the Wi-Fi model and 723g for the 5G variant. Its ultra-slim profile is complemented by the use of Enhanced Armour Aluminium, which offers both durability and a premium feel.
The device is IP68 rated, making it highly resistant to water and dust. Available in Moonstone Grey and Platinum Silver finishes, it also supports the IP68-rated S Pen for stylus input, though it’s not clear if this is included in the box.
Galaxy Tab S10+
The Plus model is slightly more compact with dimensions of 185.4 x 285.4 x 5.6mm and weighs 571g for the Wi-Fi version and 576g for the 5G model.
It shares the same Enhanced Armour Aluminium build and IP68 rating as the Ultra model. The device also has the S Pen support and is available in Moonstone Grey and Platinum Silver.
Display & Speakers
Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra boasts a large 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2960 x 1848 and a 120Hz refresh rate. The addition of an Anti-Reflection coating should ensure excellent visibility in bright environments.
The quad-speaker setup aims to provide a rich and immersive sound quality, enhancing the overall media experience.
Samsung
Galaxy Tab S10+
The Galaxy Tab S10+ features a slightly smaller 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2800 x 1752 and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Like the Ultra model, it also comes with an Anti-Reflection coating and the quad-speaker system.
Performance
Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, shifting away from the Qualcomm silicon we usually see in Samsung products. Still, this should be comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in most scenarios.
It’s available in three memory configurations: 16GB of RAM with 1TB of storage, 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage, and 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage.
This extensive storage, coupled with up to 1.5TB of expandable Micro-SD storage, makes the Pro model ideal for professionals who need to store large files and media.
Samsung claims that the S10 Ultra delivers an 18% increase in CPU speeds, 28% increase in GPU, and 14% increase in NPU (Neural Processing Unit) compared to the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.
Galaxy Tab S10+
The Galaxy Tab S10+ also features the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset. However, it comes in only two memory configurations: 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
Like the Ultra model, it supports expandable storage up to 1.5TB via Micro-SD as well.

Cameras
Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is equipped with a dual rear camera system, consisting of a 13Mp main camera and an 8Mp ultrawide lens.
The front camera system features two 12Mp sensors, one of which is ultrawide, making it great for group selfies and video conferencing.
Galaxy Tab S10+
On the other hand, while the Galaxy Tab S10+ shares the same rear camera setup as the Ultra model, it features only a single 12Mp ultrawide front camera.
Battery & Charging
Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra houses a massive 11,200mAh battery, which Samsung says will deliver “long-lasting battery life”. However, it’s not clear how much the rather underwhelming Tab S9 Ultra battery life has been improved.
45W wired charging is nothing new. While decent for a phone, it will still take a while to charge such a large battery.
Samsung
Galaxy Tab S10+
The Galaxy Tab S10+ is equipped with a 10,090mAh battery, slightly smaller than the Ultra model but should still be able to deliver excellent battery life. It also supports the same 45W wired charging.
Software & Apps
Both tablets run on Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI 6.1 over the top. However, Samsung doesn’t mention how long it intends to support the Galaxy Tab S10 series for with updates. The Tab S9 Ultra offered four major OS upgrades and five years of security patches, but Samsung now delivers seven of both on its high-end phones.
One UI will be familiar to anyone who has used a Samsung phone recently, though Galaxy AI features will be new for many people.
It comes preloaded with a suite of productivity and creative apps optimised for its large screen and stylus support. The most exciting features are Galaxy S Pen’s Note Assist and Air Command with AI, as well as Google’s Sketch to Image and Circle to Search.
This is all that has been revealed about the Galaxy Tab S10 series. While waiting for their release, check out our guide to the best tablets to see what it will be up against.
