Realme has unveiled its next GT phone for the global market – the Realme GT 3, which comes with 240W charging, the fastest speeds seen on a mass-produced smartphone. It launches just over a year after the Realme GT 2 made its debut.
If you want to get your hands on this new piece of tech, then we’ve rounded up everything there is to know about the Realme GT 3 – including the release date, price and specs.
When is the Realme GT 3 release date?
- Announced for global markets at MWC
- Will release in May or June
The Realme GT 3 was unveiled on 28 February at MWC in Barcelona. There, the company confirmed that the phone would go on sale in May or June of this year.

How much does the Realme GT 3 cost?
Realme only offered the starting price of the GT 3 in USD – thought ironically, the phone most likely won’t come to America.
The base model (made up of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage) will cost $649, which translates to around £537/€610. However, international pricing is not always straight conversions.
For reference, here are the previous starting prices of Realme GT phones:
- Realme GT 2 – £499/€549 (around $602)
- Realme GT 2 Pro – £699/€749 (around $843)
- Realme GT – €449 (around $599/£475)
We should learn more about UK pricing closer to the release date.

What features will we see in the Realme GT 3?
The Realme GT 3 offers 240W charging technology, which will make it one of the fastest-charging phones to go on sale. It shares the honour alongside the newly announced Realme GT Neo 5.
It’s exactly the same SuperVOOC technology as the Neo model, which uses dual charging lanes, each providing 120W. The phone ships with a dual GaN (Gallium Nitride) mini charger with a custom 12A charging cable.
Realme claims that it takes nine minutes and 30 seconds to charge the GT 3 from empty to full, and that just 80 seconds gives it 20%. You can see the technology in action below.
The phone comes in two colours: Booster Black and Pulse White, and runs on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It will be available in the following configurations:
- 8GB RAM/128GB storage
- 12GB RAM/256GB storage
- 16GB RAM/256GB storage
- 16GB RAM/512GB storage
- 16GB RAM/ 1TB storage
The Realme GT 3 has ‘borrowed’ some other features from the Realme GT Neo 5. The phone sports the same 6.74in OLED display, with a 144Hz refresh rate. It runs on Realme UI 4.0 and has a triple rear camera made up of a 50Mp main lens (with a Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS), an 8Mp wide-angle lens and a 2Mp microscope camera.
Realme claims that the phone can last 1600 charging cycles whilst retaining more than 80% of the original battery capacity. The phone is also fitted with a vapour cooling system, which should help any heating issues during charging.
The camera module also features the same customisable RGB lit rectangle for notifications and indicating battery life, and the transparent section on the back which shows off the chip and NFC antenna.
