OnePlus has officially revealed the launch details and standout features of its highly anticipated next flagship phone.
Now scheduled for a global launch in January 2025, the OnePlus 13 is expected to be among the best Android phones around, just like its predecessor, the OnePlus 12.
The design of the OnePlus 13 offers three distinct finishes, starting with ‘Black Eclipse’ featuring a textured glass back that mimics the appearance of wood grain.
There’s also ‘Arctic Dawn’ that introduces a smooth, fingerprint-resistant surface, while ‘Midnight Ocean’ debuts a vegan leather finish, combining durability with a premium feel.
With an IP68 + IP69 rating, OnePlus promises resistance to dust, water, and harsh conditions, making it suitable for various environments.
A new RadiantView display aims to improve clarity, even under direct sunlight, while Aqua Touch 2.0 technology enhances touch sensitivity when the screen is wet for better usability in unpredictable weather.

The phone features the ‘5th Gen Hasselblad Camera for Mobile’ for advanced portrait photography and video capabilities. 4K Dolby Vision available on all cameras should help the footage look professional.
The OnePlus 13’s focus on usability also extends to software features that prioritise accessibility and practicality for outdoor use, such as improved navigation and safety tools.
The OnePlus 13 will be officially launched next month. If the OnePlus website‘s Explorer’s Adventure Calendar end date is anything to go by, the phone will be unveiled on 7 January.
Of course, we already know all the phone’s key specs from its launch in China in October, but price and availability remain unknown.
The aforementioned Explorer’s Adventure Calendar celebrates the launch by giving away 12 free adventure experiences in Iceland, such as snorkelling between tectonic plates and visiting geothermal lagoons. Behind the final door is the OnePlus 13 handset itself. To be in with a chance of winning, you can apply through the OnePlus website.
