It’s Cyber Monday, and we have a strong contender for the best phone deal of the whole of 2024.
In Google’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale, the Pixel 8 Pro is available for just £499! Yes, you read that right. Google’s flagship phone from last year is now available at half its original price. It probably goes without saying, but this is the cheapest it’s ever been.
Usually, if you had £500 to spend, I’d recommend something from our best mid-range phones guide. But the Pixel 8 Pro is simply a better all-round phone than any of those devices, even a year on.
This is one of the rare occasions where you’re getting a flagship phone for a mid-range price with zero compromises. As our updated Pixel 8 Pro review says, it’s still a great buy in 2024.

Highlights include superb cameras, a luxurious build and slick software, including plenty of AI features. Pixel phones are the first in line to get the new versions of Android, and Google will continue supporting the phone for six more years.

For a great deal on a Pixel phone released this year, go for the Pixel 8a. Instead of paying the £499 it launched at, Amazon is selling the phone for only £352.
These deals are set to run until Google and Amazon’s Black Friday sales end after Cyber Monday on 2 November, but at these prices, they may sell out sooner. If you’re interested in buying one, take advantage while you still can.
