Looking for a new phone? It’s the best time of year to find a deal.
Cyber Monday is here, with loads of offers on a range of handsets, including Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel.
However, make no mistake: these devices aren’t cheap. You’ll pay well over £150 for all the phones we recommend in the round-ups linked above, which represents a significant investment. If you’re looking for something cheaper, either as an upgrade to your existing phone or an inexpensive stocking filler, that won’t cut it.
Fortunately, there are some even cheaper phone deals out there, costing less than £100. As Tech Advisor’s Mobile Editor, I’ve come to expect low-quality devices with lots of compromises at this price point.
However, in the Cyber Monday sales, I’ve found five compelling devices that now cost less than £100 yet are actually worth buying. Of course, there are still compromises compared to even the best budget phones, but that doesn’t stop them from being easy to recommend.
Samsung Galaxy A05s
Let’s start with the biggest name on this list. If you thought you couldn’t afford a Samsung phone with a budget of only £100, think again.
The Galaxy A05s looks remarkably similar to some much more expensive Samsung Galaxy phones, while its 6.7-inch Full HD display even has a fast 90Hz refresh rate.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chip is a reliable performer, while the 50Mp main rear lens should be capable of decent photos. While the update to Android 15 will be its last major version of Android, the phone will stay secure with security updates until 2027.
The Galaxy A05s cost £129 at launch, but it’s available from Amazon for only £98.
Motorola Moto G14
Motorola is another household name with a great sub-£100 phone right now.
The Moto G14 is an attractive phone with a 6.5-inch Full HD display, 50Mp main camera and 5000mAh battery. The Unisoc Tiger T616 chipset is fine for the basics, while dual stereo speakers and Motorola’s clean take on Android make it a compelling option.

It’ll continue to be supported with security updates until August 2026, meaning you’ll get almost two years of safe usage out of it. For a phone that now costs £80.98 at Amazon, down from its original £139.99, that’s an excellent deal.
Xiaomi Poco M6
This 4G version of the Poco M6 has the most impressive specs of any of these phones.
Xiaomi-owned Poco has equipped the M6 with a MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra, which is built for smooth everyday performance. It works in tandem with the large 6.79-inch Full HD display, which also benefits from the extra fluidity of a 90Hz refresh rate.

With a 108Mp rear camera, a large 5030mAh battery and 33W wired charging, the Poco M6 is superb value for money. With security updates continuing until June 2028, it’s also a great long-term option.
It’s currently down to £89 from its original £119 price at launch in May.
Xiaomi Redmi A3
Another Xiaomi brand to keep your eye on is Redmi. It’s already known for cheap phones, but the £55 Redmi A3 takes things to the next level.
Despite its ultra-affordable price, the phone has some impressive specs. We’re talking a 6.71-inch HD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a solid MediaTek Helio G36 chipset and a 5000mAh battery.
Xiaomi
With cameras not going past 8Mp, it’s unlikely to be a great photography option, but as an upgrade from a basic phone, it’s a good choice. Xiaomi will continue supporting the phone with updates until early 2027.
The Redmi A3 cost £79 at launch earlier this year, but it’s already down to £55 at Amazon.
Honor X6b
Last on this list, but very much not least, is the Honor X6b. Honor might be known as a flagship phone company these days, but the Chinese firm made its name as a low-cost Huawei sub-brand.
The X6b proves it can still make solid cheap phones, with an attractive 90Hz HD display, solid MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and 50Mp main rear camera. There’s also a 5000mAh battery with impressively fast 35W charging.
Honor
Honor only released the X6b in June, and will continue supporting it with updates until 2028.
With the phone down to £79.99 from its original £129.99 at Amazon, it’s a great value option.
