Apple fans across the world are gearing up for the launch of the iPhone 16 series, but a number of case makers have seemingly set products live early – giving us a sneak preview of the new phones.
The images, sent to Tech Advisor in an email and currently live on Noreve’s website, confirm that Apple is opting for a vertical camera arrangement in a pill-shaped bump, something that was reported by leakers back in February 2024.
Another rival store, Alcanside, also has the same design, leading us to believe that they are credible mock-ups rather than false, AI-generated images. Plus, this isn’t the first time a case maker has leaked designs before an official smartphone launch.

The design alteration pays homage to older models such as the iPhone X, but it could also have a functional benefit: to incorporate spatial video. Of course, this is just speculation – we’ll learn more about the phone at Apple’s event, which kicks off in a few hours.
This camera shape is only present on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus product images. The other two models seemingly confirmed by Noreve and Alcanside, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, retain the triangular trio of lenses we’ve seen in the last few generations.
These cases also seemingly solidify that the rumoured iPhone 16 Ultra will not launch at Apple’s event, with the tech giant retaining the same four models we saw during the iPhone 15 generation.
here are yet more cases showing the iPhone 16 from Woodcessories and Armor-X.
