Black Friday sale season is here again and there are plenty of discounts on smart rings if you’re looking for a Samsung Galaxy Ring alternative.
Sure, the Galaxy Ring won our smart ring of the year award and has, at long last, a £50 discount in Samsung’s Black Friday sale (Amazon doesn’t sell it) but it’s still expensive at £349.
Fortunately, there are a number of excellent options from the likes of Oura and other rivals, with big savings available. The price difference could be enough for some new running shoes to go with your shiny smart ring.
Let’s take a look at your top options this Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday:
Oura Ring Gen 3
The Ring Gen 3 is one of the most popular smart rings on the market, worn by plenty of celebrities and well-known sportspeople.
Dominik Tomaszewski / Foundry
It’s stylish, available in two shapes and many colours, with solid fitness tracking and a comprehensive software experience – just not you have to pay £5.99 per month to access all features.
One reason it’s discounted is the introduction of its successor, the Oura Ring 4 but a saving this big makes it very tempting. You can save up to £200 on the smart ring depending on which model and colour you want.
It’s a deal so good, it’s the only deal our Entertainment Editor has purchased in the sales and prices on the Ring Gen 3 are also matched at the official store and John Lewis.

Ultrahuman Ring Air
Another option is the Ultrahuman Ring Air which is a great value all-rounder, even at full price.
Mike Sawh
It’s very light and comfortable if that’s high up your list (and it should be considering smart rings are designed to be worn around the clock) along with solid core fitness and sleep tracking and useful notification prompts.
All without a monthly subscription and you can save up to 20% in the Black Friday sale depending on your colour and size choice.

RingConn Smart Ring
If you want a long-lasting smart ring, the RingConn Smart Ring is one of the best around and it doesn’t have a monthly subscription model.

It’s stylish with its stand-out flat side design and comfortable, too. Sleep and activity tracking is good and you get the advantage of a charging case rather than being tied to a wired puck or similar.
One reason it’s on sale is the new RingConn Gen 2, but that’s still on Kickstarter and the original remains a solid choice.
